Here in Jacob’s Well we are proud of our hard earned success, having on three occasions been awarded the Black & White Award for County Wicklow pub of the year in the years 2000 - 2001 - 2003. 2004 saw the end of the Black & White awards, acknowledged to be Ireland’s most prestigious, by both the hospitality industry and customers alike.

 

Our Restaurant's reputation for quality, style and traditional charm has proven itself once again as we have been recently awarded Winner of the Irish Restaurant Associations' Best Gastro Pub / Restaurant in Wicklow Award.

For generations, music and song has featured through our bars. Today spontaneous sessions make the rafters ring, echoing days gone by. Here in Jacob's Well we provide a variety of instruments available for our visiting musicians.

Our Location

Dublin City is only 37 miles from Rathdrum and Rathdrum’s Railway Station provides a direct link to Dublin and Rosslare Ferry and Wexford heading south. There is also an excellent bus service from our town.

Served by Train and BusRathdrum is a picturesque village overlooking the Avonmore river and close to Avondale House - home of Charles Stuart Parnell. Co Wicklow, known as the Garden County, is teeming with history, stately homes and castles, church ruins and monastic sites in abundance. Wicklow also has a strong maritime tradition of boatbuilding, fishing and general shipping.
